It has nearly been a year since I left my last company and took a leap into a new phase of my career. A phase where I wanted to bring back old school broking with the client at the heart of what I do. I’m now 9 months into my new role at Tasker Motor, and it got me thinking about how and why we do things differently here.
Being a Chauffeur usually means being at your client’s disposal 24/7 – it’s part of the service you so seamlessly provide. But what happens when something outside of your control gets in the way of you doing your job? It’s Saturday morning and you’ve just had a job come in. You need to add a new driver but you don’t have an Open or Any Driver policy. Your reputation, service and pride are on the line and you’re not used to letting clients down. What do you do in this situation if your insurance company aren’t open on weekends?
At Tasker Motor we work to the Chauffeur ethos. We too are available 24/7 because we understand that you don’t keep 9am-5pm Monday – Friday, which means we are there for you when you need us. This is not only because I’m passionate about what I do, but it’s because for me relationships with clients are key. Tasker Motor do not use call centres, when you pick up the phone it’s me or Nathan Parke who you’ll be speaking with. We know your risks because we spend the time building our relationship with you– we listen to you and your needs and we understand your industry.
Insurance Brokers and Chauffeurs have more similarities than most think – they both place passion, relationships and service levels at the heart of what they do. They both help their clients get where they need to be safely. At Tasker Motor we embody the Chauffeur ethos because at the very heart it’s already our ethos.
I’m proud of what we have achieved in the last 9 months at Tasker Motor and as we enter the last month of 2018 I can’t wait to see what opportunities 2019 brings.
